  1. Most people are misunderstanding the doctors concerns and somehow thinking because we have alcohol in society that automatically should qualify cannabis to have the same status.

  2. Alcohol has been part of western civilization for at least 10,000 years. Cannabis has only been present for about 100 years with it being popular for about 50 years. We already know what the consequences of alcohol is on society we have no idea what the large scale effects of cannabis is. If they decriminalized it that would be the first step and work from there.

  3. But you have to considered the numbers of alcohol car crashes and then factor the new cannabis car crashes on top of that. I am not saying it will do this but it could double the current figures. That is the concern about this. Truth is we do not actually know the outcome.

  4. Not at all he has concerns. I think it should be decriminalized rather than rushing into complete legalization. If they did this over a long period of time it would be far more sensible. First start with decriminalization so that people cannot be jailed for holding personal amounts of cannabis and maybe allow for small plant scale growth at home as long as dealing is not present or smoking it on the streets. There is a sensible way to approach this. The government just saying he it is completely legal do as you please is the wrong message for society as a whole.
