Same with Utd and Spurs.

@theportugueselegend All titles have to be stripped. Compensation for the clubs that lost out during that period and expulsion from the league as well.

CIty do not have a fan base so Arsenal cannot get to excited there.

All titles must be stripped for that period. Why have football rules that other clubs obey if City can come along and go we are special it does not apply.

@Onemoreday1623 Newcastle with a good 10 years of investment within the FFP rules would enable them to earn more money in the future. Developing the stadium, adapting an attractive form of football and just be honest would win them a lot of fans and building for the future.

@tonynogueira8900 They may have enough points to be deducted in certain seasons that would allow them to keep their titles. If Man Utd or Liverpool did this at those levels we all know what the outcome would be.

Haaland only cost £51 million which is an absurd figure when you consider that other players were bought and sold for far more money. Something does not seem right with that transfer. Not for one moment suggesting that the player did anything but it does seem very suspicious. Jack Grealish cost twice as much as Haaland which makes no sense.

@GrahamWalters Relegation is not enough. They need league expulsion and have to reapply for membership of the football association. That is what happened to Rangers and the same should apply to city. I would love to know if there are issues HMRC as well that are not being disclosed as a full audit may have to take place there as well. Remember when celebrities were dragged through the mud by the media because they used various taxation reduction schemes.

EPL is a different set up with no time constraints on charges. All activities are included as evidence and cannot be excluded. All clubs that are members of the EPL obey this rule and will through the process seek out that city are held to those rules as well. The UK government is also looking over the should of the FA and EPL on this one. HMRC will also be looking at this as well.

@joebarnes100 Nope that is not enough. They need to be stripped of all titles and a points deduction per game and results.

Not this time. The list of charges is so serious and the the desire nows seems to be there to clean house. Teams Like Utd have been complying with FFP for the last 15 years to the point that their squad is nowhere near the level of City. I do no think people fully understand the implications of this as of yet. HMRC may also get involved because I suspect they will have issues as well with what has happened. No Corporation in the UK would get away with doing that.

@copymerchant1768 Utd never commited FFP during Ferguson's rein due to the constraints of the financial side of the club. Utd always lived within their means even Ferguson has admitted in the past that Utd will never step outside its financial abilities.

That is absolutely not the case. EPL case is not based on UEFA. It is based on activities within the EPL and is not subjected to European sports rules. The UK government will step in and conducted an audit if the EPL does not at this point.
1
There is no point to the EPL if they cannot hand out punishment on this. Expulsion from the league is the only option and stripping of titles over the last 15 years.

@Onemoreday1623 Newcastle does have massive potential but they cannot just buy it.
1
Paying their way out will not work this time.
1
@kanedNunable Liverpool are having issues on the pitch which Klopp can fix if given the opportunity. City is a completely different ball game.

Not this time.
