  1.  @AnthonyAnthony48  The figure of 1.7 trillion is not the actual cost of the aircraft. It is the total generated operational cost which also includes manufacturing for the thousands they will be selling as well. Over the aircrafts 50 year life half that $1.7 trillion will be sales. So that $700 billion in 50 years time will be $110 billion. That is nothing if it gives the US the edge in air warfare.
