He got the deal of a lifetime that would have allowed him to take his content to the next level and he would have probably got an even bigger deal in 4 years time. If he could have built his own platform he would have done it a long time ago and not bounded from one crisis to another. I suspect he will try and build a platform but will realize he is way in over his head. He also seems to have poor health as well so not sure how he can commit to that.

Is he upset that the daily wire would not offer him some special contract deal? if that is the case he is being very petty and has expectations that he does not deserve. The Daily wire at a business level has no obligations to thim.

  17. Morfydd Clark is fine in the role maybe not the tall slender vision of an elve but she is fine. The issue is the character is a warrior princess which Galadriel was not. Also the race mixing does not make much sense. They should have black Elves and Black Dwarves but a race which would have made more sense rather than their weird mixed villages. Unless their weird race thing gets explained later.

  21. I do not think Musk should even attempt to buy twitter and would be better of taking that money and building something new that would challenge tv and social media together. Something akin to youtube with an advanced comment section and entertainment on the platform.

  23. It sounds much harder that it is to go independent. The Daily wire is the only real independent platform that has been built from the ground up. I think people assume the daily wire is just a Ben Shapiro platform but do not realize that there is a couple of owners involved within it including one in the background that people do not know his name and do not realize that he is all about business.

  26. Running a platform takes tens of millions of dollars. And the platform is only as good as its business performance. It does not matter how many views a person gets on youtube if they do not grow the business. That is the reality of the business world and not everybody is cut out for it.

  28. Both of those services have paid subscribers to their platforms. They both have built their own hosting services that allows them to run their own video content from. Both of them have invested millions into building that and are probably scared of losing it if some corporation was to come after them for something one of their content presenters have stated. Daily Wire tends to walk a rope some times with saying things that are controversial but not to controversial that they get banned from every tech platform.

  30. January 6th was one of the most stupid events to have ever been organised. How earth they thought it was not going to turn out as it did shows how naive some people are. It would even invite opportunities for troublemakers to show up to make conservatives look bad. And now they cry about injustices. People who are that stupid should be no where near politics.

  31.  @C.Berries  When a company the size of Daily Wire offers a $50 million contract proposal they have to have protections in there because that is the sort of money that could do them harm if there is not a good return from it. There is no job on the planet that will offer free money when a person does not show up. Those measures have to be stiff enough that Crowder would enter knowing that he has to put everything out in terms of effort. The contract offer at no stage states that Crowder was to be liable for recover of costs but it would be assumed that the real contract would have clauses that if Crowder were to take deliberate actions there would be liabilities. I know you do not understand any of this and probably just parrot what Crowder has put out because you are emotionally invested in it.

  40.  @philosophicalcounselor-m6c  It is called offering a deal. And all Crowder had to do was say no or comeback with a counter offer. What is being claimed is that Crowder came back with a counter offer that was twice what the Daily Wire was offering and they said that it was too much fo them. Daily Wire has a revenue of about $100 million per year and the offer they made Crowder for about $12 million to 15 million per year was the near their maximum in terms of the size of their organisation. To come out and claim that the Daily Wire was trying to screw them at that price is absurd at best. They may have been able to push to $20 million per year but that truly would have been too much risk for them. Neither Daily Wire or Crowder are mega players in media so the whole big con thing is nonsense.

First it requires a good quality consistent video hosting platform that is willing to put up with controversial moments as the host will be targeted by activists and even other corporations. All that means lots of money needs to be invested. Probably somewhere in the millions. If he was starting out with a small scale operation he probably could get away with doing it him self in some low cost model with a lower quality output that people are willing to accept.
