  1. They could have made the show but not be Lord of the Rings. They could have made their own creation that could pay homage to it. Instead they took the Lord of the Rings characters and made up their own story with them.

  2. Morfydd Clark is fine in the role maybe not the tall slender vision of an elve but she is fine. The issue is the character is a warrior princess which Galadriel was not. Also the race mixing does not make much sense. They should have black Elves and Black Dwarves but a race which would have made more sense rather than their weird mixed villages. Unless their weird race thing gets explained later.

  4. They could have had black characters in the show but not the weird multi cultural villages that they have in the story. They could have had black Hobbits in their own little clan village. Same with the Elves and Dwarves.
