Imagine you actually wanted one of those. And you had the opportunity to have one. And all you needed to do was a simple advertisement. 90% of the UK would line up for that. Only the Guardian readership would pass on that. But then again they do not mind being taxed at 60%.

I would suggest that you save up and get a complete engine rebuild. Do not modify the engine in anyway just make sure it is in good running order. After that you can get anything else you want such as new suspension or seats or even lights. I think you can get an complete engine rebuild for about £5000 or a partial rebuild for about £3,000. And if you go the full hog you can get the body check out for any corrosion or damage. DO it over the next couple of years and you can keep the car for the next 50 years. The price of these by the way are going to shoot up in the next decade because NA cars are going to be lusted after.

Nothing wrong with McMansions it is what some people want.
9
It is a humble amazing car. It is clean and simple and beautiful to drive. The Newer 911's are not as nice even though they are very very fast.
8
The Drive in the 996s are as close as you will get to Analogue in terms of modern Porsches.
8
Price Charles is suppose to be very shy and does not actually like the lime light but he has no choice and has to do it.

@hiphop6045 Yes America is better.
6
@hiphop6045 America created the very internet you are using. Youtube is America. The microchips that your computer are running on are America in design. I could give you hundreds of examples if you want.

What has happened to Porsche is that they are being hamstrung by environmental regulations. Manufacturers are being bullied to build cars that make no sense. That is the reason why Porsche are going to be putting turbos in everything. American cars used to have lovely big V8's in them and today they are being forced down to 6 and 4 cylinders. What will happen in the future is that these cars will be forced to 3 or even 2 cylinders.

@Lex-Rex I had a Discovery and Range Rover and they cost me no end of trouble. I never had any trouble with the defender as it was a simple and easy vehicle to repair and source. I never feared about damaging it not once. Wit the Range Rover I was constantly in fear of scuffing the wheels or scrapping the sides.

If you start with the 911 you may not want the BMW. There handling is very unique and simply perfect. They are lightweight yet very powerful and very well balanced.

Paddles are best suited to the track for modern machines that are all about performance. Porsche 996 and 997's that have been modified for the track perfectly use the paddles. 964's are just the best Porsches for the road. They are fastest enough, direct enough and with amazing feed back some variants more than others. I currently have a 996 GT3 which has no modifications whatsoever and it is a nice road car but you get the feeling that it has just a little bit to much power for the road and you will never get near to its abilities I am lusting over a 964 that I can do a custom build on so that it will look like the interior of classic 60s and 70s cars but have the exterior of the 80s/90s.
2
God made all 964 in his image.
2
Manufacturers have bought into the whole green economy nonsense. They are putting turbos into everything and in that action destroying cars. Turbo is great for family cars but for a sports car it is terrible.
2
+Pete Wood A sports car is not a race car. They have completely different set up with completely different gear system.
2
He most certainly would want one. Only an idiot in the UK would pass up on it. It is the coolest truck in the UK. Hammond does like US cars and trucks.
2
@Munkenba So you agree that schools are trying to make your child communist.
2
It is going to operate like a Microsoft computer.

@Queen Duncan Donut Of Scots The Queen is the head of state for the UK. The country is governed by the very aspects of crown law. Charles could decide not to take the crown but that will create a mass of complication that could create crisis. It is more complicated than you can imagine. And Charles like the Queen has very little say in the matter. The Queen her self did not even want the crown and the same was true of her father. Charles walks around today know that he has duties than cannot be ignored. His every word has interpretation. This by the way has nothing to do with him being a Royal. Do not confuse Royal family with the crown.
2
@hiphop6045 So can I use your logic back on you. If you are going to claim that the whole country did not make any of that are you also going to say American do not go around shooting one other.
2
@user-zc5ft9nw9b Why would you even say that. Unless you are how do I put it not knowledgeable. Tim Berners Lee was involved in the web that was also an American development. I think you are getting confused between the internet and the concept of the web. Do you understand the difference.
2
There is no sneaky pretenses with the ad. It is right up front and they get to have a bit of fun with it. Modern culture is very strange when it comes to people reactions. In years past nobody would actually care about it.
2
He is hardly old at 56 years of age.

@mrmixalotcreative5847 They are horrible cars and the public is being lied to about them. I doubt the Amazon connection is the driving force behind the likes of Hammond switching over. Electrics simply do not work in the real world on any level. As a novelty luxury car they can work but never as a mass produced car.
2
+Patrick-1 How dare you criticize Magnus and then have the nerve on you to drive a Turbo Porsche. No real Porsche lover would drive a Turbo. Next you will be coming out with the fact you drive a Turbo Diesel Cayenne (hope to god you do not own a hybrid). Enjoy your 964 though it sounds like you love it.

This is my first time coming across this channel thanks for letting us know.
1
If you are getting one for the track I would suggest buying one with paddles and getting a setup such as RPM CSR. That would be the best track car you could buy in my opinion for the money.
1
Wll the internet can allow you to meet up with car enthusiasts.
1
The lights on an 996 or anything else on it is not going to look as good as a 964 but so what. They can be had for a bargain while not as pretty as the 964 they are still better looking than other cars on the road. The 996 was produced for the masses.
1
It is ugly compared to the 964 but then all modern Porsches are ugly compared to the 964.
1
China will be awash with them some day.
1
All modern Porsches are ugly let's be honest. Picking on the 996 is not going to change that.
1
BMW's are nice but trying getting a classic one they cost a fortune and Porsches are far better value I think.
1
Magnus is pure working class and worked as a designer and now reaps the rewards of that.
1
@Ocastia It is the coolest truck available in Europe to be honest. There are no other options unless you import but good luck getting it serviced or repaired.
1
There is no such thing as a mid life crisis. Have you ever noticed that it only gets applied to men of a certain socioeconomic status.
1
Imagine your air suspension giving up in the field while are 20 miles away from home. You will be waiting months for a replacement that is for sure and it will require an army of engineers such as sensor specialists and electrical-mechanical engineers.
1
Thank goodness they still make them as it showcases how horrible modern cars could have looked in the Government did not interfere with regulations and laws.
1
I would say you really about politics. Hence why you had to bring up gas guzzling Ford.
1
The vehicle looks like a old Landrover discovery and Skoda yeti had an illegitimate love child. Only VW and Landrover are not going to admit it.
1
Do not mind to be honest.
1
You are just one of these enraged internetees.
1
Renewable energy is just pure nonsense. Maybe James needs some sleep. There is simply not enough copper on planet earth to build renewable energy systems.
1
@andrewnorris5415 It is not just the tariffs. Cars that are sold in China have to be manufactured there. And it also has to be done through an agreed local partner. You will routinely hear people talk about Buick being a big seller in China but it is not a real Buick. It is a special manufacturing licence were the design is given to a Chinese manufacturer to build. GM has a special partnership with SAIC. So that means the Chinese get to keep all the profits while GM get a small design fee.
1
Shallow. He has far more depth than Jeremy Corbyn that is for sure. Would you not agree.
1
The commies are not going to stop until they destroy the whole of the west. They are under some impression that if they bring down capitalism that they can then save the world with socialism of some form or another.
1
You probably live in America so V8 engine cars are at their natural market price and are cheap to buy. In the UK if that Truck had a V8 it would cost about 90,000 with all the taxes and regulations that would be applied.
1
A Ferrari 250 GTO weighed about 1900 pounds the SF90 weighs about 3500 pounds. Modern cars are just too heavy and too big. Pretty much every brand has cars that are far heavier today.
1
It is a cool truck end off. And the best available in the UK. Name a better truck in the UK.

He could just as easily use the swimming spa.
