  1. Japan is different. It has automated its economy and is an export market place. There may come a point that Japan starts to rebuild its population without the economic collapse that China faces.

  3. Students from out side Germany either pay the fees them self or their government pays it for them. It is not the german tax payer that is footing this.  But the issue Germany has is that its immigrant population has exploded in numbers due to the poor EU countries joining. You cannot blame these people either they are only doing what is natural.

  5. Immigrants is the issue. But Germany's population has not aged that much in the last 50 years. Average life span has increased but not to the levels that would explain a lot of these infrastructure problems.

  7. I am still having conversations with people that do not want to accept what is coming. Most still think European countries can spend all their money on social programs and ignore defence. I think Ukraine has shocked them a bit but they still are deluded.

Switzerland had a work permit system that would be more strict than Germany or France.  But the system still was letting large numbers of people into the country that was not sustainable for Switzerland.  They have also tightened laws on refugee status. There is a pattern of refugees going home on holidays.

  14. Germany has unemployed that could be filled and allowing large numbers of unskilled worker in just as every country in EU has done does not help the unemployed. Immigrants when in large numbers eat into the economy and take jobs and wealth from people in that economy. Do not say this is not the case. We are not talking about Phd or entrepreneurs being immigrants in Germany It is an unskilled work force we are talking about.

  21. Swedish military has 80 defensive combat aircraft and 20 combat defensive ships. When that is combined with the region it will make it very difficult for the russians to move through they will take hits before they get through. The idea is to show that they are ready and not sitting around. We can only hope that this is posturing and nothing else.

This meant that banks by law were required that 30% of their output loans had to cover debt for lower economic classes of credit. The 30% that was forced by law was so large that the banks just to meet their legal obligations had to hard sell loans to many people that could not afford them. It was the reason why a waiter in a restaurant without a good employment contract could buy a home that he or she could not afford.

Even the legendary S300 system could not protect Syria from US might. Russia strong against many smaller countries but not when it comes to China or US. Even the Turkish air force will cause Russia problems.

  38. That is not the issue. Germany does not have the capacity to take in everybody in the world. If you want the problems of people who are unlucky to be born in certain poor countries then the problem needs to be tackled at source and not expect people moving to another country to be the solution.

The US has over 300 naval vessels and 20 carriers that can put into the air above any region 500 aircraft and that does not take into account the ability to launch from world wide bases. The US could make those narrow sea lanes into a shooting gallery with airpower, naval vessels and missiles from above.

  49.  @MrAhmedUA  Germany's population of 15 to 19 has increased by 1 million in last decade. And the exact same has occurred in each youth age group (detailed from OECD). The exact same has occurred in the UK who now have a problem with dealing with the population increase. And there is simply no more room in the tax base to increase infrastructure.

  50. VW produced in Mexico are for US consumption.  It is cheaper to produce them and then ship them to the US and south America but they are still made using German engineering.
