  3. US has already retooled its own manufacturing and is bring it home. Mexico and Canada are already the US biggest partners. Places like the Philippines need to start making goods that the likes of the US like.

  9.  @ph11p3540  80% of volume is from Taiwan but not 80% of value. All those global cheap mobiles phones are what Taiwan is based in. US has about 100 semiconductor plants that produce all the high value chips that are used in industry, data centres, commination's and so on.

  10. They are based on cheap manufacturing processes that require designs that have to easily translate to manufacturing overseas. This has set back innovation years by sending over all the cheap nasty environmental damaging processes to the other side of the world.
