Conflict. The young cannot get out and vote never mind having a conflict.
1
As the young people who inherit the money have not earned it they will blow it and have nothing to show after. People in the UK need to be getting married and having children it is that simple.
1
It is the old people that hold all the capital so they may just decide that the young people can earn it them self if you want to go down that route. SO the young needing set up business, buy homes, go to college may not have access to capital. You cannot have it both ways. You cannot expect to be poor and have the system do exactly as you want.
1
Whiny young people doing nothing is hardly going to change the world. They cannot even clean their bedrooms.
1
Germany has spent trillions on going green and is about to have a winter of coldness without the handy Russia gas.
1
Turns out Covid was always going to pass through the population and young people simply were not subject to it the way the elderly were.
1
The longer you work the better and the longer you can keep your savings and investments the better. I have known people that have worked into their 90s.
1
I think young people whining about the voting patterns of the elderly shows exactly where most western countries are at.
1
@lulibanas Those old people earned all the wealth and you are free to go out and do it yourself and stop crying.
1
I love the absolute whining in all of this. Making stuff up about the climate and it changing just so as to whine about it. Cry cry cry. The reality is that there are far fewer young people than there are older people because your parents generation like whined about social issues instead of getting on with life. When the older generation goes away and so does their capital and expertise I wonder who you will whine about then most certainly will not be about your generation. Guess what will happen carbon levels will decrease as most of the world including Europe and Asia have less economic output and fewer people. Cry cry cry.
1
So you expect non germans to be voting on German issues?
1
@Angel24Marin Again do you think people that are not from Germany should be able to vote on German issues?
1
Both Europe and China are about to go through a population decline which will result in lower economic output. India will go through that at some point as well as the Birth Rate in India is now 2.2 children per women. So it looks like the population of India will remain stable but that only works in he current world economic model. India may decide to form an internal market place like the US but it simply does not have the geography of the US to get that market place up and running.
1
Those boomers own all he capital and when they pass that generation system will not be in existence. The US will be fine but Europe is done for and it takes a good 60 years to recover from that sort of demographic collapse.
1
" a huge climate change is making our entire future uncertain" True whining at its finest.
1
Most of those whining about climate change and the old running everything at some point are going to find out their generation is in charge and they will have no body else to whine about.
1
That can become difficult for many who are over 65. Being an accountant of software engineer post 65 is possible but being a plumber or mechanic after that age is not so easy.

The reason it is getting warmer is due to the fact that there is less carbon in the atmosphere to shield the earth from the rays of the sun. So expect temperatures at ground level to get hotter as more sun passes through to you on the ground especially in summer. As populations decrease carbon emissions will also decrease and it will be a cyclical problem.
1
@anteeko Northern American and European regions have less carbon in their atmosphere. Remember carbon in the atmosphere various depending on regional effect it is not a consistent figure. US Emissions have reduced over the last few two decades as have european. We are now getting more solar radiation at ground level than before. When US aircraft was grounded during 911 there was a noticeable effect on ground level radiation levels that increased ground temperatures because there was less particles blocking the rays of the sun. Look up Global dimming.

The US X generation will be too few to support the boomers but as time goes on and the boomers start to pass the generations coming after X will easily be able to support them. The US is also retooling its industrial output with next generation manufacturing which means the US is going to be a cheap capital market that will not have that many issues. The US more or less has everything it need.
1
@ericpoeperic The US does not have income inequality. It is a myth as there are always going to be poor people and there is nothing you or anybody can do about it. Germany is going to have an issue with its outputs such as exports.
