  1. "encouraged to retain their own" This is a fallacy and anybody who moves to another country should adapt to the culture of that country. That is one of the reasons multiculturalism has failed it is trying to form a multicultural society when in fact it should be a singular concept of culture.

  2. Germany has unemployed that could be filled and allowing large numbers of unskilled worker in just as every country in EU has done does not help the unemployed. Immigrants when in large numbers eat into the economy and take jobs and wealth from people in that economy. Do not say this is not the case. We are not talking about Phd or entrepreneurs being immigrants in Germany It is an unskilled work force we are talking about.

  4. That does not make you any more German unless you can produce a genetic profile to show genetic linage. Nationalism is a very new thing and just because a persons family comes from else where does not make them any less of a nationalist.

  6. That is not the issue. Germany does not have the capacity to take in everybody in the world. If you want the problems of people who are unlucky to be born in certain poor countries then the problem needs to be tackled at source and not expect people moving to another country to be the solution.

  7. The only way to help the worlds poor and sick is to tackle it at the source moving some of the people else where does not cure the problem. Social liberal's do not seem to understand this. They seem to think that countries in the west should change to be more like the countries that people are fleeing and that makes no sense on any level.

  8. Having a tight control of a countries immigration is a good idea as is having a high standard of citizenship such as full integration. But to block citizenship fully is a bit extreme and it could stop great contributors to a country. I have met some great doctors in the US who are citizens even though they were born else where. Things like becoming president or even a politician should be a privilege of people who are born in that country.

  9. Germany cannot have an open door policy and must have immigration control. If the world was better and every country was wealthy then it would not be an issue and they then could have open borders. But if Germany just lets everybody in then it will degrade the standard of living that German people enjoy. There is no point German people working hard if other can come in and just take the cream. I do not think morals have anything to do with this. What I said may sound harsh but it is real

  10. But should a host culture be forced to introduce Sharia law or Female genital mutilation. At what point to you think a host culture should say no we will stick with our laws and culture. And some immigrant cultural activities may clash with other immigrant cultural activities. There has been cases in London were school districts cancelled nativities and replaced them with Islam activities. This caused offence to the Sikh and Jew communities in the area. Where is the line drawn.
