@SuperJohn12354 Legal cannabis is going to have no effect on what is happening. Mentally ill people have an illness that is more than likely genetic. The problem is that governments at the state level and federal level do not want to deal with the mental health epidemic. Most mass shooter are mentally ill and have been on the authorities radar for a long time.

Shad covert You were not homeless what you had was a drug problem. Your problems with drugs meant that you are not in a stable place in life. We need to start discussing this as they are. Many of those homeless people have mental health issues.

Nicholas OConnor Where do people come up with this nonsense. Most homeless people are not veterans. The majority of homeless are mentally ill which leads to drug and alcohol problems. People see a few homeless veterans and then assume that every single homeless person must be a veteran and then say that the majority are.

These people are not really homeless. They have mental health issues which means even if you gave them a free house tomorrow the vast majority will still go back and live on the streets. The idea that these are young families with clean faces that have been kicked out of their house by some even landlord is just nonsense. And income inequality is also nonsense.

They are not liberals they are socialists. Liberals believe in free speech and the rights of the individual. Because there are new liberals people have started to call old liberal "classical liberals". So what has happened is that a group of socialists came along and labelled them self liberals and this then gave them a cover to do as they pleased.

Because left wing states have social programs to aid people in their addictions. They also have closed down the majority of their mental institutions because they are offended by such ideas.
