BUD/S is a very specialized program that requires a certain type of physiology that other special operations units do not. Combat diving like being a fighter pilot requires a very special body type that not everybody has. And on top of that the training is as complex as a whole as the likes of Army Special Forces and Rangers. It makes it very unique.

They simply cannot do it. Elite special operations requires the abilities of strength, endurance and the ability to function under extreme physical pressure all at the same time.

Ranger school is not about special operations it is a leadership course so it is not really an issue to lower standards there. It is entirely different when it comes to units that deploy though.

@tbick1305 Ranger school has nothing to do with Special Operations. It is a leadership course that different sectors of the Army partake in. To be a ranger does no involve ranger school. The only similarities is that it has Ranger in the name. It has been almost 70 years since ranger school first produced real rangers And about 60 years since it became a leadership course.

You clearly are clueless. The US Won WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Gulf war, Iraq invasion and afghanistan.

There are no women that can do the training and be operational it is that simple.

They still cannot pass BUD/S.

While it is true that there is a mental fitness there is also strength and extreme fitness involved as well. Combat diving is not the same as normal diving as it pushes the body to he limits and it also requires special skills.

Shooting a gun is not the same as carrying 100 pounds of weight for 20 miles and then at the end having to fight it out and then maybe climb a mountain. Women can be used in special operations of a certain type that is suitable for their body types including recon, seduction, painting targets and so on. The British SRR has been using women since its foundation and women were also part of special agent teams that operated in WW2. Navy SEAL's are frogmen that need to carry large loads over distances.

No women can do full special operations. The training is just too physical and brutal. Even top athletic women could not do it.

No. There are officers but that is not the same as an actual enlisted operational role. There is just no getting around the fact that women cannot carry 100 pounds of weight over 15 miles and still be operational.
