  1. We have no clue as to their business model. They could have a long term outlook that nobody else has. Maybe they are planning on UFC being the next NFL, NBA or NHL. We just have no clue at this point what they are planning. In 20 years time 4 billion will only have cost 2.3 billion and on top of that they may have grown the brand 20 fold.

  2. The UFC has a massive cultural popularity. Most people in America know what it actually is and everybody in the 20s would know what it is and probably could name McGregor or other fighters without actually having seen them fight. If WME have a long term strategy the 4 billion they paid could look like peanuts.
