There is not going to be an apocalypse in America. People would simply just revert to the tried and tested formula that has been in place through thick and think in America and in the west. The idea that humans would not be able to grow food or able to source materials is just stupid at best. The only want an Apocalypse happens is if their is a world even of such scale that kills billions and billions but it would need to some how encompass the whole globe. Again people are still going to revert to technology, science and engineering. Water filtration would be done through sand so to get rid of biological threats.

Beau Littzen I guess there is somebody out there you love. You will hardly turn into a monster over night. You are going to meet other people like hour self. The modern world has too many skilled people for those skills not to be used.

Beau Littzen Modern world is the world we live in right now. That means carpenters, electricians, mechanics, miners, doctors, nurses, engineers and so will also survive. Unless we as a modern society decide to get every skilled person out there and make them cluster into one little spot so that they are all wiped out in the apocalypse.

@ang47 I have served in some of the worse places on earth. Have seen exactly what war is. One of the first steps in my survival would be securing water and creating water filtration through the use of sand beds. I can survive in some of the most extreme places on earth and have done so. Make sure you have gold as it will quickly become currency.
