  1. @Cole Trickle It is not that the US copied the name army ranger. US as a culture developed over hundreds of years with rangers being part of that culture. Neither side can be accused of copying the the name.

  19.  @johnsullivan3444  UK already spends 5 times as much on the welfare state than it does on its military force. Every day the Russians are constantly testing UK airspace and UK response times to try and establish if theirs are differences. NHS has no shortage of money so that cannot be blamed on its issues. Even in hospitals were there are enough nurses employed they will still have shift shortages due to bad management. NHS has to evolve and that is where the issue exists not how much is spent on defence.

  20. British Lamb is fantastic but competition is fantastic as well. It is not the UK and NZ that needs to be worried here. The UK current imports about $7 billion of food from france. So it is the French food industry that needs to worry. Also UK farmers are now as an industry free to produce foods that there is a demand for and not foods declared by the EU.

  27. Taiwan has been series about this for 70 years. It has thousands of missiles for air defence, naval ship defence and hundreds of fighter jets that can be used to defend the Island. They are very serious about their defence.

  31.  @Ty-qv3ml  Not even close. SAS are a highly specialized force that are different to anything else in the world. They are a one trick pony and cannot be used like Commandos or Para. So if the UK want to take out an airfield or infantry defended position they would never send the SAS who simply would not have the numbers.

  34. The way to defend against nukes is to build an air defence system that actually uses nukes to destroy income missiles. A group of nuclear weapons that are used for airburst could cover a hundred thousand square miles of space.

  43. China does not have the ability to invade Taiwan either they know this already or they are about to find out. China does not even have enough carriers for troops for an invasion. Taiwan on its own has a air defence system that would turn the Chinese navy into scrap metal.

  46.  @donaldpolson5450  Nuclear weapons are dirty and if the US had super advanced technology that could perform like the videos it would replace nuclear weapons. With that technology the US could hit targets and nobody would even know what happened. And then conventional forces could claim responsibilities. They could take out any rogue nuclear states infrastructure and make it look like an accident.

  47. +John Valerian No the data on this is freaking me out. At present the R0 value is 2.6 which means it grows at 260% for every infection. That means every person that is infected will pass it to 2.6 people every cycle. Each cycle is about 1 week at this stage so that means 100 people in 12 week could infect about 10 million people. The thing about exponential growth is in its early stages the numbers appear small but in a very short period a massive growth level of 2.6 can produce spectacular results. And here is another thing at this point the serious health complication levels are at about 10%. That means if there are 200000 infections about 20000 people are going to have very serious health problems and there is not an country in the world with a health system that can handle this. Chinese government are trying to underplay this as they are in denial.
