British industry will benefit as well.

I would disagree that the UK is poorer financially. The UK post Brexit has signed $1.2 trillion worth of trade deals. That will double in the next 2 years and be at about $5 trillion in 5 year and about $10 to 15 trillion in 10 years time. Trade deals are not over night and take time to put into contact and then into law. So those that were in charge of the EU trade deal are now free to go out and negotiate with other countries. The UK right now has created trade deals that are 20% greater than the old EU trade deal which is just incredible. Right now UK unemployment is at 5% which is incredible and that is in the middle of a world wide inventory crisis imagine what it will be like when that all settles and there are several trillions worth of new trade deals.

UK workers will benefit as UK trade will increase with these countries. That means UK manufacturing such as machinery will increase. UK pharma is now free to trade with New Zealand and to build new alliances with other countries that needs Britain's advance pharma products. Best in the world I say.

It now means that the UK can trade food products with Canada without facing EU taxes nor EU protection measures. Before Canadian products could not be free sold into the UK because the French would have certain obligations as would German industry. I would love to see Canadian manufactured cars in the UK.

New Zealand produces foods that are not easily available in Europe and they also have a certain cultural quality with them. The UK produces pharma, machines, electronics, software and general engineering that New Zealand does not. Both countries trade with one other so the new trade deal with bolster that and add new growth.

Both British and New Zealand lamb can be on the shelves to provide competition. European food commodities need to be now worried. The French current export thousands of tons of food to the UK as does spain and italy.

@brendanhynes1252 Competition is great but here is the thing Welsh lamb can now be freely traded with 30 economic zones outside the EU.

@HhhGgg-iy1mk New Zealand produces a lot of foods that the UK cannot produce in quantities. Everybody is talking about New Zealand lamb but there is more to it than that. ANd the other way around the UK produces Pharma, chemicals, machinery, electronics, software and engineering that NZ cannot produce. So for specialized goods both countries have to trade to get the really good stuff. Most Lamb consumed in the UK will be from places like Wales. Just to add it takes the same length of time to transport goods from China as it does NZ. UK and Europe needs to produce more goods locally.

British Lamb is fantastic but competition is fantastic as well. It is not the UK and NZ that needs to be worried here. The UK current imports about $7 billion of food from france. So it is the French food industry that needs to worry. Also UK farmers are now as an industry free to produce foods that there is a demand for and not foods declared by the EU.

It is French food exports that needs to worry not NZ and UK.

UK Produces Vauxhall cars, Land rover, Jaguar, Bentley, Morgan, Lotus, JCB and other brands as well. And all of those will be sold to New Zealand as well. Before the trade agreement UK machinery that was exported to NZ had a 10% EU tax on them.

The UK now needs New Zealand fruits that were restricted before due to continental europe objecting to certain products being imported.

@Two_Heads_Talking British farmers are struggling because of EU caps and EU directives on food and agri production. Farmers are not to blame.

Every country in Europe currently has a shortage of truck drivers because of EU regulations on transport.

The Pandemic has been pushed by the media not the government of the UK. Not even the labour party with their crazy politics is responsible for that.
