@marilenaganea6578 They can dream all they want but the moment they come into the cross hairs of Russia all of that will disappear. A 250,000 army with lots of resources could be headache for Russia who are going to face a lot of losses in Ukraine even if they win.
2
Nope not even close.
2
It does not stop the drug trade and gang culture. It also can create the groundwork for something else to come through later on that is much bigger and more powerful.
2
In this case it is the starting point with the pandemic disrupting supply chains.
2
Russia's problem right now is not that it lacks troops but it lacks the ability to deploy them without it calling for total war. That will be a one time deal that they will not be able to easily call up again. Putin has chess pieces on the board but does not want to use them but that presents its own problems.
2
You missed his point Javelins are not part of the US military backbone things like Helicopters, fighter jets, carriers and tanks are. The US even has the ability to convert tanks over to being missile launchers as it was previously explored. Even Humvees can be fitted out to take on tanks especially since several Humvee style trucks would cost the same as a tank but that does not mean they can replace a tank.
2
Paid sick days is a terrible idea. It sounds great to a reasonable person because most people would never abuses such a system but there are those that will abuse it and it will cost more for everybody else.
2
Turkey's issue is not the Kurds it is the PKK.
2
So how did the US push Russia to invade Ukraine and Georgia. Russia has always stated that the Eastern bloc is there domain. Nothing to do with America or Europe. Russia effectively in its modern history has invaded every eastern European country in the last 80 years.
2
People at some point have to get sick of all this aggressive media politics. I suspect that the younger generations coming through are not as into it.
2
One of Russia allies today is China but they simply are not able to help them.
2
It can also cause US dollars to become less available and in turn cause inflation to rise. They need to cool that demand first of all with higher interest rates that will slow the rate of capital available. If they do not do that what will happen is that other markets will use US capital to buy up more US dollars that in turn will cause capital to flee their base markets. No matter where they step somebody is going to get squashed.
2
I do no think it matters that much to be honest. It is just sabre rattling.
2
Nope. That is not going to help them function for industrial output. Both the Taiwanese, Korean and Israeli semiconductor industry is functioning through US industry.
2
Most certainly those with a certain city political outlook would look down on Iowa and turn their noses up at agri.
2
I have heard the same thing 15 years ago from various sources. There was claims after 2008 crash that Russia had this massive reserve of gold and that everybody was just going to go over and join up with them. China came next with everybody claiming it would be the dominant currency. There was even people claiming it would be the Euro. They have all moved on now to the fantasy BRICs currency but they cannot tell you what it will be. There are those still claiming it would be Bitcoin but they cannot tell you how such a currency would service the market never mind the fact no body actually knows about it.
2
@Chas G The reason you think that is because you have a more romantic notion of European countries which in part has been pushed by American media. You will see it in films were they will present Europeans as this culturally diverse group that travel between their countries. In reality most Europeans do not travel and are not aware of other cultures. The most common type of travel in Europe is a 2 week vacation in Spain which is the equivalent of somebody in the US going to Florida, Caribbean Islands or Mexico. Peter is talking about Geopolitics and the only country on earth that offers protection to other countries is the US. If it was not for the US the European continent would now be the USSR and Asia would be the People's Republic.
2
@U.S. Grant Let me guess you think that gold back currency is better.
2
But that could also trap Russia.
2
I would say he has a team and years of research and just gets simple news reports. Obviously he is on Holiday.
2
You forgot and left out the part that the DC transmission system requires superconducting bridges at the power generation side and power scaling side.
2
The Russians are suppose to have run and left their equipment behind. We will only know in the next few weeks how that plays out.
2
He is not saying that he is saying it will play its part in certain parts of the US where it is either windy or sunny. The basis of US cheap energy is natural gas.
2
Or high functioning such as at human levels. Now in the information space Ai is starting to develop but that is not the case in the physical world.
2
It is the real world industrial development of ai not the academic world making claims or some tech magazine. Even Kurzweil with his claims do not proclaim that we will have super ai tomorrow or that all jobs are going to be replaced. Kurzweil states that the turing test will be complete in 2029 and from there another 15 years of development will take place before we reach a point that we today simply cannot see beyond which he calls the singularity. The iron in all of this is people call Kurzweil a kooky theorist yet those exact same people will make claims that ai will take all the jobs tomorrow even though Kurzweil is telling them to calm down it is not moving that fast.
2
They are when certain types of products are to be made with the steel.
2
2008 was a banking crisis, credit crunch and a correction in the economy. That was no mere recession and was a collection of different things.
2
Demographics and economics are effectively one in the same. Demographic collapse is going unravel most of the world's major economies and that in turn will feed back into the demographic collapse.
2
Heating is not the issue in Europe. It is the energy for industrial manufacturing that is the issue. Cost has already at a base level increased 10 fold. German industry probably has an overall value coverage of about 20 times production but that is going to come under real strain over the next 2 to 5 years and god knows what sort of crisis could be piled on top of that.
2
Nonsense.
2
Phoenix is one of those places that could use solar power to feed into the cooling system that houses use so that the main grid is not under as much load.
2
How would they glass army that say reaches Moscow? It is easy to say just use nuclear weapons but if the forces are already present in Russia it would mean having to use those weapons within Russia.
2
People will go along with political climate change when they are living a comfortable life with all the mod cons and will be apathetic about many policies even when they are informed that they will damage the economy. But when all the mod cons are removed and life is harsh and very boring people will not be so apathetic. For several European countries it maybe too little to late.
2
@vision2080 He is not a fan of Trump or Biden but will look at what they do and praise some of it and criticize others efforts that are not good.
2
US income taxes are lower than Sweden for the vast majority of workers.
2
1929 was just a normal recession that got turned into a period of stagnation and then economic collapse. One of the biggest issues of that period was that the federal reserve would not use QE.
2
Age also has to be factored into the systems durability. Most Russian equipment is pre mid 1980s. Russia suffered a manufacturing break down in the 1980s as their economy was collapsing at that point.
2
The satellites act as a primary intelligence that then allows the drones to move into an area and get real time firing data.
2
Japan had the ability to go out and capture oil but it is impossible to go out and capture chips and advanced manufacturing. China does not have the foundation that Japan had in the 1930s.
2
Not all US oil reserves are cleared for public economic reserves. Many have been tied up in economic orders. Every president has sight through executive orders barring prospects from processing. The US has not even begun to tap into its shale reserves of oil or gas.
2
If they were not so aggressive and dangerous they would be allowed to continue developing on the backs of Western industry and science.
2
Flak systems would be better for dealing with drones even if they are human operated. A group of men with shotguns could take down a group of low flying drones as well but that would be a last chance saloon approach.
2
US national debt is not based on promisaries. Meaning it cannot be called.
2
@playwithpets It has nothing to do with the fed. Current inflation is all down to the shut down of productivity for two years.
2
The russians have built their energy export market around the easy distribution market such as Europe. To try and send that oil to Asian to make up for that loss is going to be 5 times more expensive. Which in turn will drive up the cost of the oil to the consumer which will not be cheaper.
2
@nomadundercover3018 Russia has a massive reserve of Iron, Copper, Oil and gas. A war culture is one that goes all out for war. That means all production is switched to that of war. I am not suggesting that Russia would come anywhere close to the west in that production but it most certainly could produce enough scale that would enable it to flatten Ukraine to a barren land. Right now Russia is not at that point and the longer it can be kept from that the better chance of a stalemate.
2
The US south is already a massive manufacturing centre.
2
It will cause them problems but not of the scale that will do the company any harm. Tesla Asian market is not that big as of yet and they are intending their production in China to take advantage of that. But the retaliate is that Tesla simply has not even used their full capabilities in the US or European markets.
2
The problem as well is it could entrench normal working Russians into a war mindset that it is east vs west.
2
Lennon, Stalin and all the leaders in Russia after that were not jewish. SO what on earth are you talking about?
