@tschandler2 Australia is nothing like Europe. Not even close.

I think he maybe a conservative but not a republican. It used to be that both the democratic party and republican party had conservatives in its ranks but that seems to really have declined. Today the parties are either hardcore activist socialists or nationalist focused party members.

There is not a lot to say about Australia and what he says about Australia is that it will be fine but it needs to start having more children. Australia over the next 25 years is probably going to have a boom because it has more 20 to 40 year olds than 50 to 70 year olds but does have a lower number of under 20 year olds. It will be interesting to see if the next generation wants to have lots of children and if it does Australia will have a bright future. Areas that Australia could really ramp it up is manufacturing and value added market practices. That means taking all those deep raw material reserves and turning them into products and using the coal, oil and gas for industrial energy. Autralia has a potentially large consumer market just waiting to expand.

Just so that Peter understands this Christmas is a festive period which means it carries right up to the new year and then winds down after New Years Day. It is sort of like demographics with 20 to 40 where all the action takes place and after that it is all winding down.

Australia has more people aged from 25 to 45 than it does 45 to 65. And it is quite a significant difference as well. Australia is probably going to have a boom because of that demographic bulge but beyond that there is not that many under the age of 20 but that could change as the current 25 year olds start to have children and get married. What Australia really needs to do is move its culture towards value added economics that means using all that natural resources to fund and supply their own industries. Australia currently has 80 million sheep and there is no reason why that stock cannot be grown and why all that wool cannot be turned into Australian made luxury clothing and use all that cheap coal, oil, gas and solar potential to manufacture those up market well made garments.

@andrewmunro5915 Denmark, Sweden, Norway, UK, Ireland, Australia, Argentina, New Zealand, France and US all have ok demographics. Outside of that most of the west is facing a demographic collapse.

dihvocfoscocudvyvdd And republicans are not political conservatives. Who are you trying to kid with that. Now I am not for one moment claiming that democratic voters are socialists. But we all know that the likes Sanders and fifty others in the political side of the part are socialists. I suspect that democrats will on mass reject the socialists at some point.
