The rest of the world had nothing hence why it was forgotten.

It had nothing to do with Germanic resistance. The truth was that Rome simply could not develop its empire into that region as it was beyond their geographic development. If you look at a map of the Roman empire you will see that it is focused on the mediterranean region.
1
That had nothing to do with it.

it has nothing to do with vast and wild people. It is to do with the fact it is beyond their geographical capabilities. The Roman Empire is focused around the mediterranean with the UK being its farthest point of development.

There was things of value in the region but they simply did not offer enough to the Roman Empire. The technology simply was not there to make trade between the regions worthwhile as the distances were to far apart. The reason the Roman Empire was able to achieve its size and success was due to it being developed around the mediterranean. Rome was able to develop its naval abilities to grow within the mediterranean region. . When it came to sea travel Britain was really as far as it could travel in terms of growth any further than that and it started to break down.

Nope that is nonsense. Rome did not really want the region. It played with the idea but it simply was not realistic for Rome to take due to the limitations of technology of that era around transport. Rome had a maritime culture that was developed in the mediterranean that simply could not expand any further than that. It is same reason why Rome did not develop into Asian and central Africa. The Absolute limits of Roman transport was the UK.

They could not because it was too far away from the mediterranean Roman empire. Britain was the farthest that they could develop. it had nothing to do with military ability or the tribes. If they were closer they would have been conquered. It is the same reason why Rome could not expand into central Africa, Ireland or Russia.
1
Nonsense. Rome simply was not able to develop its empire into that region because it was beyond the capabilities of its maritime culture.
1
Nope.

It is nonsense and romantic fiction. The region was too far for Rome to travel.
1
Rome simply was not able to on a geographic level expand their empire into that region. It has nothing to do with military ability or the Germanic tribes. It is the same reason why Rome was unable to expand into ireland, Central Africa or Russia. The Roman empire was a mediterranean developed Empire. Britain was in effect the farthest point it could reach.
1
@pegamini So you are saying Rome was not a mediterranean empire?
1
It is nonsense. Rome was not capable of developing its empire any further than the mediterranean.
1
Not even comparable. The US cut a deal with the Taliban to leave the US alone and not to attack the US again.
1
You are onto a point but it has more to do with geography than culture. Northern Europe was too far for Rome to effectively form an empire with.
1
Rome could have taken the region if it wanted to but it would not have served them in any fashion. It would have had no naval importance and it would have taken too much resources with very little return.
1
Nonsense.
