  1. Britain has a homicide rate of 1.2 while Switzerland has a homicide rate of about 0.5 in comparison.  Guns do not equal a higher murder rate.  The UK has 29000 knife crimes a year and there is a lot violence there and general crime.  The real problem people simply want to ignore is poverty.
