While it is true that you would meet many people who were in the military like that the vast majority were not like that. There was many fighters there who would have fought but the corruption there is insane in the last several months many of the soldiers were not paid and they had no ammo to actually fight with. So when many of them ran they did so because they had nothing to fight with. They had aircraft and ordinances systems but all the technical support had been removed and that meant it was useless. All the aircraft you see on the runway ground had no mechanics or parts to get them to fly. There was stashes of really good equipment that were locked away and many troops could not actually use them and were actively blocked from access.

@Billfish57 Trump intended to pull out but he then reversed the decision because he seen the intelligence and what would come out of it. I do not think Joe was given the intelligence properly and it was the reason he made the decision.

The US did not go in to Afghanistan to change anything. They went in there to try and stop terrorists from attacking the US and the west. I think your mother should not have told you those tales as they were not true.

@markglock2585 Afghanistan was hosting training camps that actively attacked the US on several occasions. Iraq under the Ba'ath party also actively trained terrorists to attack the US. Syria and Libya were not invaded by the US. You are talking crap about the oil and opium conspiracies'. You probably believe that area 51 has a ufo in it.

It is not exactly a happy topic and many people full well know this will lead to terrorism in the area that will come to the west as a whole. The last time it was using aircraft god knows what the next time will be.
