Atlantis was just a story that was based on an older story but was the basis of the tale. Was it an allegory of an older time or was it an interpretation of an older period.

@ZombieFBody I do believe that civilization is older than 10,000 years and probably closer to 20,000 years. It took humans 300,000 years because it took that long for the brain to develop language and strategic abilities. Go far enough back and human would be using single words to convey something and it would not be a word we would even recognise today.

Ancient egypt is not a patch on ancient Rome. One was a glorified grain farmers that wasted their wealth building a pyramid the other was master traders that build and engineered an empire that the egyptians could not even dream of. The romans had a professional navy with marines.
