  1. Johnny is the wealthier man with people loving him. Him not taking the money would be a PR win for him especially if everybody knows that he did not take the money. He could come out and say that he feels Amber is a troubled person and that he would take no more action.

  2. I would suspect that Johnny will let her sweat on the money side of it for a while before deciding that he does not want the money. And that will give him more PR power.
