  1. I suspect Bill Maher did not really mean what he was saying and was just angry at Trump. Just because these celebs say something does not mean they are advocating for it.

  2.  @philliph8991  To build a high speed rail system network in the US would cost tens of trillions. Only France has a high speed rail and that is not an actual network and is a particular line. Britain is current building a line but again it is not an actual network. High speed rail is a vanity project in the US when it is just as cheap and easy to fly from New York to LA. The distance from New York to LA is 4500 km and if anybody thinks that can be done with high speed rail they are delusional.

  4.  @icebox1954  The US is a much lower tax country that any European or other developed country. People in the US would have a heart attack if they understood how much waste takes place in France.
