The funny thing is Moore was the real deal himself and moved like somebody who was dangerous. A 5'8" steroid man jumping around screen is not believable. I suppose Joe can see that in himself and relates with it.

@Casanova966 Craig does not look as convincing as Connery, Moore or George Lazenby. Those guys are all over six feet tall, former military and they all had the look of real warriors. Modern actors who do steroids and small are not believable at anything no amount of tippy tappy martial arts crap is believable.

@Casanova966 Sean Connery was 32 years old when he played Bond. He was a large body builder and did not need to wear lifter shoes and take steroids to look like a modern James bond. Daniel Craig was older and a lot smaller than Connery when he played the role so what exactly are you saying.

@eduardonavarro6335 Moore served in the military and did not need steroids to play the role. He carried him self as somebody who knew how to use a gun.

Moore, Connery and George Lazenby would trash 5'8" Craig in a fight. They all did military training and Craig would cry if he tried.

Moore was a great Bond as well and believable in the role even though the actual films were more light hearted.

@eduardonavarro6335 As I stated no amount of steroids will make a soft man look hard.

@Cybopath Moore served in the British military like Connery and Lazenby who served in the Australian Army. They were all old school military service that did not allow soft people to pass through. Basic training was tough and people were expected to be discipled. All of them handle guns like men who knew what they were doing. You can tell when a person has real gun experience from their movements. No matter how much steroids modern actors have done they do not look convincing. And you can also tell when those actors in the past were stylising something from the way they held a gun. Actors like David Niven, Christopher Lee, Steve McQueen, Michael Caine and Jimmy Stewart were all believable in the rolls they played. They carried them self in a way that is hard to explain to people you have to see it to understand it.

Connery, Moore and George Lazenby are the most realistic.

The most believable are Connery, Moore and George Lazenby . They are all physically imposing and served in the military. When you see them in action they behave like people who know how to handle guns and have a menacing tone to them not seen in the other bonds.

George Lazenby was also great in the role but he only wanted to do one film.

@richardmalcolm1457 When fights are to the death they tend to be much more different especially when they involve trained people. Strength as in power in the real world is much more deadly than some fancy style which people seem to be obsessed with today. Moore is somebody who went through military training and is over six feet tall and athletic. I do not think Craig is a real 5'10" and I do agree he does not do steroids that was more of a joke on my part about general movie culture being obsessed with the steroid gym look. In years gone by a lot of films actors looked more realistic when it came to action because a lot them had military training and you could tell in the way they behaved around guns and their general demeanour.

@richardmalcolm1457 Just to add the serious tone of the current Bond films was also present in the first Bond movies but today they lack the entertainment factor and charisma of the old films.

@richardmalcolm1457 That generation were not boastful and would never talk a fellow actor down unlike today's generation who are offended at everything. I am sorry but the fight techniques of the new bond franchise are fantasy and are not to be held up as some sort of shining example. Especially when you know the actor playing them is not the real deal nor carries himself in a way that has menace. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u80ou6-ZqQk That is a bond that looks like he knows what he is doing. Rather than huffing and puffing.

Craig is not a bad actor just not believable in the role as bond. The first three actors were all believable as they were in their prime an served in the military and they were all physically imposing.
