@Yusuf3hassan First, anyone telling that there is a problem in a country doesn't mean that the person's country doesn't have that problem
Second, India's fertility rate is 2.138 and replacement level is 2.100, so, India doesn't have the problem of a population boom, Nigeria's fertility rate is 5.076 and Africa's fertility rate is 4.155 (avg of all African countries)
India has a high population because India had a high population from the past 10,000 years, it is because India has some of the most fertile lands in the world. India's share of world population 2000 years ago was almost 30%, today, it is 17.8%. So, the population of the rest of the world grew faster than the population of India.

@Yusuf3hassan Yeah bro, overpopulation is a problem when their is a shortage of resources [we're talking about food here]. India has the largest amount of arable land in the world, and, that too is coupled with some of the most fertile soil in the world. India is a net food exporter, there is no shortage of food in India, yes, people here die of hunger, and that is a problem, but, that isn't because of the shortage of food, it is because of the poverty. The food production in India can double and even triple if Indian farmers use the technologies which the American or Japanese farmers use, Indian farmers are some of the least productive farmers in the world because of lack of advanced farming technology in India. Even then India is the second largest producer of grain after China. So, the current population of India is not a problem, if India had a high fertility rate, then that would be a HUGE problem, but, it doesn't. If Indian farmers would become as productive as American farmers, India's farmland could feed almost 40% of the world's population.
