As an Indian, this is the same way of thinking which made us too peaceful and didn't let us resist foreign occupation and subjugation.

@YakrifZee Don't know anything from the pov of the people. I am from Hyderabad and I would be part of Indian republic not under the foreign muslim Nizams. The 500 Muslims who were killed during the annexation of Hyderabad were Nizam rulers. And then Hyderabad now Telangana has a majority Hindu population. We would never want to live under those Nizams. If Indian republic didn't annex Hyderabad. The people themselves would revolt against the Nizams and become the part of Indian Republic.

@NRProductionss They were unemployed or British stooges. That's the reason nobody in India celebrates them. But the Indians who are commenting under this video saying "we should be given credit" are not fully aware of the situations at the time. They see everything in Western pov not Indian.

@ringtail1401 😂😆😆 Most of us definitely don't hate today's British. But saying we are thankful for your ancestors is madness. And, the curiosity about knowing a foreign culture is higher in India. Maybe because, most of us don't know much about foreigners. That's why the curiosity is present. Mughals were already weak before the British ruled India, Marathas made them weak.

@ringtail1401 Yes it would be better off today if it had no involvement in the empire. And, most of us don't hate todays brits. But, most of us really hate what your ancestors did to us. And if the locals treated you with respect/kindness when you visited the places. The reason would be because you are a tourist and if a tourist comes, money also comes, or they were just curious about a foreigner, or maybe the people you met really like UK today. But, that doesn't mean they like the atrocities your ancestors committed.

@ringtail1401 No empire is evil. I know that Industrial revolution came because of Europe. And, I also know that if India was ruled by other European countries it would be worse. I am just saying. We cannot just like anything your ancestors did. If India wasn't colonised by any country. It would be better off today and if India also adopted foreign technology quickly like Japan. We would have become a major player on the world stage as easrly as 1900-1910.
