@pvasir China won't get engaged, nor Russia, nor India. Because these countries can't afford losing so much money, time and lives like USA for nothing. If you need to conquer Afghanistan, you should be involved in a full-blown offensive war, not like the situation of USA or USSR in the 70's and 80's.
