  2.  renegadeforever6878  Iraqis have contributed alot more to the world than Vikings. Abbasid Caliphate had more territory than Vikings ever had. They contributed alot in Maths and Sciences. Sweden and other Scandinavian countries became better than Iraqis only in the recent times. Even 150 years ago they were very backward. In the Viking times there was no comparison between Scandinavians and Iraqis, just like how there is no comparison between Scandinavians and Iraqis now. The only difference is that now the Scandinavians are better, during Viking times, the Iraqis were better.

  3.  @ajmersingh3043  I am not defending Islam, but, Islam was the thing which made them a super power too. Religious fundamentalism is not what made Iraq a war zone today. Saddam Hussein was a Secular Nationalist. USA made Iraq what it is today. Religious fundamentalism in the common people is also a big problem for Iraq. But, we can't compare Iraq to countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc....
