@M Saad They gained Billions in that war. Their govt says it spended $2T in Afghanistan, but all the spent money was spent for buying weapons and that too from US companies which are manufactured in the USA. All those spent $2T was sent back into their economy only. They are truly wise people.

@M Saad Their influence in South Asia? You know the country which has the most influence in South Asia is India (their Ally). They don't need any Influence here, they don't need to control any trade-routes or oil shipments that affect their economy that they need influence in South Asia. First of all, they started a war in Afghanistan for taking revenge of 9/11 attacks. They took that revenge long before in 2011 and also gained money from the War. What else they need now? Also, Afghanistan is more like Central-Asian than South Asian.
