@abhishekrao1710 Now their foreign policy is definitely better when considering their own interests. In the past, they shouldn't have supported Pakistan that much, they didn't even have a reason to push India to align with USSR. They needed Pakistan more than India to deal with USSR in Afghanistan, but that didn't require them to support Pakistan against India in the Wars. Their leaders probably just hated us because of Nehru's ideology which tilted a bit towards socialism.
