@hattorihonzo5804 Nooooooo...... You misunderstood me, I was just asking if you were arguing in the side of extremists. Don't you know that Taliban oppresses afghans? They punish them if they don't worship and force their people to wear burqa's and a lot more oppression to implement the Sharia law. I would say oppression by a foreign power is different from oppression by your own countrymen.

@hattorihonzo5804 I don't think that they are preserving their culture in the right way. And they are even preserving things which are of no use. I mean, in any culture everything isn't useful. And my country is too big and has great cultural influence on some countries and most of the people know our(Indian) culture. I would definitely save our culture in that hypothetical case, but not save some useless things. Like, caste-system. You outsiders mock this caste-system, right. Because, this is wrong, and this is being removed, but slowly. Because changing Old people's mindset is hard if not impossible. So, it will take time. But, Sharia law is in most cases badder and inefficient. It says to educate in the Muslim way. Which is purely not efficient. That promotes superstitions and poses a whole lot of problems.

There are many other ways to save their culture if they think their people are so inferior that they would adopt some other country's culture in a scale of a country. How does China save their culture? They ban many Western companies. They don't oppress their people in any way. I think there's no need to do something like that. There are many countries in the world. Which remain open and also didn't lose their culture. I don't think all the people of a country can become so inferior that they adopt some other country's culture.

There is only a way of life, that Hinduism says to follow. The Gods are just tools to explain how to live. There are some different level of Gods. The Trimurthy's in Sanskrit (Trimurthulu) means The three eternal Gods. They and their avatars are different, they are gods who are worshipped. But, even Hindu priests don't have the same devotion as a common Muslim or Christian. Why? Because Hinduism is not about Gods. It is about way of life.

Caste system was very lenient before (When India was ruled by Indians) you can become a Brahmin if you are very-knowledgeable. It was like having Job. All the Brahmins were Preists or Teachers. All the Kshatriyas were Warriors and Kings. All the Vaishyas were Traders and Merchants. All the Shudhras were doing all menial works. And yes People from different castes couldn't marry people from different castes. But, when the British came, they made it very rigid. People from different castes couldn't change it anymore. The untouchability has risen under the British. I am not saying that it was good, I am saying that it was not as bad as when it was under British. It is because of the British, this Caste-system is still a big problem among illeterates and poor. Otherwise, caste-system was present in every major civilization. Example of Caste-system in Europe: Clergy Nobility Third-estate What is that 👆? It's caste-system.
