might be pointing out the obvious to some although it seems that criminals tend to mask their greater crimes by using smaller fry as examples that can then also have dual-purpose functions. these could include such dynamics as belittling and humiliation (health / mental health), leverage (eg. production - industrial or not), scapegoating, pedestal-building ('heroes' that can fall), 'skittle royalty', distractions (eg. an invasion), projections (eg. 'moral' narratives), the 'greater criminal' (accusations as justifications), threats (organised crime), 'consequences' (paramilitaries - actual or self-styled) or even (since early 22) - 'special' definitional reframing (regardless of intent or merit). so long as 'the magic' (chinese arms dealing) isn't bought into the EU fragility states then everybody's aok and happy without a global genocide. everybody? everybody? great. unless of course the kompromat is sexual.
