  3.  @ChipmunkRapidsMadMan1869  not buying the 'just an escalation' narrative. the Kremlin invasion of February 22 (K2) was a significant enough shift to represent a departure from previous. to call a 'war' in 2014 with only 'escalation' in 2022 is (only from my perspective at least) a misrepresentation of a. war, b. escalation, and c. the dynamics. if it had been a 2014 conflict (maidan, crimean green men and the ukrainian east) that escalated to war in 2022 then fair enough (as now it is unequivocally war in ukraine) but to define it as war in 14 that escalated (to what?) a higher level of war in 22 is an oversimplication that would either need more supporting evidence than a two sentence statement to be convincing or worse, simply risks enough misinterpretation so as to lead to inaccuracy or misunderstanding.
