  2.  @juskahusk2247  just because it was half-time doesn't mean nothing happened. south there was rwanda, north there was chechnya. extremist terrorism increased in its ambitions of violence, the balkanization of the former yugoslavia and the dissolution of the soviet union created modern mafiosi states. plenty of regimes increased their leverage over authoritarian rule. crime got diversified and corruption increased. the second half really only started with the invasion of iraq in 03 and that event which was undertaken under the auspices of the GWOT, actually became a precursor to subsequent problems inside the order of sovereign states whereby bad actors can seize the reins of power - as the current regime inside the Kremlin are so saliently demonstrating. yet, to continue the 90 minute sports analogy (obviously for comparative understanding only) we are only 65 minutes in. and whilst it might be said that it is CAP 1 COM 0, the com star is rising again in the east even if it appears that the two finalists are playing over the Pacific - not (as with the first half) over Europe.
