  1. clear that the PRC has a civil-military tension. clear that the PRC is not the totality of China (100 years at most, not 5000) and clear that the trajectory of the PRC since 1949 is increasingly authoritarian - a.i. being the use of tech for authoritarian increases (cookie cutting or salami slicing - take your pick)
