  1. putin's russia is a demonstration of how power consolidated can corrupt, how corrupted power can boost both power and corruption and how an obsession to maintain, consolidate and control that power as a representative of institutional power not only corrupts but also evades capture. that is to say that, beyond a point, the more effort put into controlling the power that has been harnessed the more futile that effort becomes, the more corrupt the opposing powers grow and the greater the forces of equal and opposite powers show.
