  1. nobody cares until their own stability gets threatened. as it is, the rise of china thesis must have a fair amount of countries thinking that a fundamental shift in the unstable post-cold war era might actually be worth testing. or at least worth a wait and see position. add to that the facts that the wealth and status of the euro-sterling-dollar north is hardly without its faults and also contains its fair share of history and hypocrites. so the propaganda of 'them being wrong' can easily lead some to think that maybe putinism would be a valid advance in the name of progress.
