  18. the starting position is Iran vs Israel. Iran claims home status and challenges the fundamental existence of Israel. Iran's challenge to Israel is mostly devolved. That is to say Iran uses proxies and pays for its clients to act against its little regional iblis. The great Iblis (USA) is ironically what Iran aspires to (the hegemon) but as a modern state, Iran is actually younger than Israel (1979 as opposed to 1948 - 30 or so years). So Iran's rhetoric noticeably does not align with its reality. The role of the hijab and the function of the fashion police clearly runs deeper than a nailbar and whether IRGC green has a military patent. Many of the peoples and diaspora clearly have an issue with an increasingly repressive and pernicious regime. 45 years looks like a Cold War deal that has now given way to state terror and with the nuclear cap the IRI seeks, it would be an Islammunist Kremlin on nuclear droned steroids. Iran doesn't like the fact that Israel is a potential challenge to its existence except Israel isn't a fundamental challenge to Iran as a nation or a historical peoples, it is a challenge to the inward looking and insular nature of a thinly veiled Communist Islam. That's because - to call it as it is - Israel is a colonial democratic implant that is effectively the sum total of those Westphalian Empires that succeeded in survival at the beginning of the twentieth century. Obviously, that is anathema to an Islam (or rather, Islamic doctrines) that are largely balanced between the politics of the Middle Ages whilst using the technology of the twenty-first. Democracy, a component of which is to use reasoned debate to solve problems without first resorting to violent options, is still being tabled for representation amongst the Islamic states. Israel is representative of that spread yet still there is a violent reaction of rejection and the irony that the children of Israel are currently playing deaf dumb and blind to the opportunities that could be open to them is somewhat astounding. That'll be the Communist function (amongst perhaps other things) i guess.
