  23. Before 1973 the the USA would pull old bills and overprinted bills off of the circulation and shred or burn it to keep the bills at their true value. Now, they overprint, which makes the dollars worth less, which increases inflation.

Second, I can remember when we in the States knew what a dime could buy, if we could get one. Question: Why were there so many different coins used in England, and why were they called different names for the same coins?
