  1. In the early 1970's I looked at investing in the dow, which was around a $1,000 or so. The world economy seemed to be going up at this time, and so was inflation. Over the years I have seen inflation go higher and higher to me causing the dow to rise. To me government spending seem to get out of control. Does higher inflation cause the dow to highly rise giving a false price?
