Banks were once thought of a safe haven. But, these days they seem to be a place to gamble with our money. If I want to gamble I will go to Vegas....

@John Doe you are almost right. Once you could keep money in a bank as a safety factor. You would not have to keep large amounts of cash at home and you would be paid interest while it was in the bank. But, when banks got greedy and they thought that our money was their's and started using it as a gambling instrument that made bankers rich and people more unsafe. I am 76 and I remember when I got paid interest on my deposits. Everytime the government screws up the banks and us pay for it...

@Fowchiii LIED, PUPPIES DIED when I was younger we poorer people mostly traded with barter.
