  1. During the 1970's and 1980's many houses were being sold because their parents had died and they didn't need 2 houses to upkeep. A lot of people also moved during these years. Now many people only have 1 house and if bought in the earlier years, it is probably paid. They will not sell. Farmland and timberland is probably paid for and won't be sold cheap if at all.
