They are getting out of solar panels because many of the sellers and installers are going bankrupt leaving some of us with no one to work on our solar systems. This sucks. The government should have companies that will repair these systems that they backed.

@Paul-nu7nj I am a 78 years old disabled war veteran. When something goes wrong in my life, I study the system and learn everything about it. If I have the time left, I will learn everything about the setup and repair of the system.

No more light bills of $7 or $8 a month like in the 1950's and 1960's.

@edb3877 I live in SC USA. Solar panels here are not so great at times. When I was a boy, some people had wind mills to pump water. In some areas, there were grist mills that used water wheels that ground corn into mill. Some of the older folks used a stump that was round in the middle and a wood pestal to pound corn into mill.

@edb3877 when I grew up, we were so poor that we had to learn to do most things. Sometimes, it was nice to have a friend or neighbor who knew how to do it if you couldn't. It was called trading labor.

@heatherb.4302 you sure don't understand very well. I said just that above. Even though I am in a wheelchair I need only a few people to help me, thanks. I just don't think that the government should push something that they can't back up.
