Comments by "ozzie2612" (@ozzie2612) on "Fact Check: Is Brexit to blame for Britain's fruit and vegetable shortages?" video.
This is how it should be, Remainers should be able to buy items, leave voters should be restricted.. It is what they voted for after all, It’s their mess.

@suburbanyobbo9412 I call bull. Spain has invernadoros where they grow vegetables all winter long and this is nonsense. I know because I lived there through difficult winters and it changed nothing. Until Brexit we bought 70% of our produce from the EU. Now we're out and we're the low priority. Now the Channel is really a barrier to free, fair and regular trading without tarriffs. Since Brexit we also can't get the agricultural workers we once had in abundance to sow, maintain and harvest vegetables. Or to slaughter cattle for that matter. We've shot ourselves in both feet, so let's just face reality and stop trying to find excuses about the "weather" and other nonsense.

All over the world independent states are grouping together for trade and mutual security. The exception is GB who has left one. Just the prospect of leaving was an economic hit which has accelerated. The official figures show that if we had remained the exchequer would be better off by over £40billion/annum. Think what could be done with that. In terms of so called Sovereignty, most people can not even define it. In order to trade with any country we must comply with their rules. As a member of the worlds largest economic block we had a democratic say in it's rules and a veto on new ones. Now we don't and, remember, EU standards are the bench mark for world trade. We are now just a silly little bunch of islands off the coast of Europe. Recently the worlds fifth biggest economy, now sixth and soon to be No.7. Poland is predicted to be bigger by 2030 than little UK. Minimum standards for the environment, health and safety and employment rights are enshrined in EU law and UK law but this government are in the process of ditching them at the end of this year. Next year no paid holiday, no sick pay, no maternity or paternity leave. Hire and fire at will, raw sewage in our rivers and seas and all legal. Do I need to add more? Now, please list the benefits of leaving for the ordinary Joe.

@suburbanyobbo9412 glad you admit brexit is a direct cause of the food shortages then

@suburbanyobbo9412 and leavers should go and live in Venezuela if they want to live in a country that's self ruined it's own economy

@suburbanyobbo9412 Northern Ireland are to all intents and purposes pretty much part of the EU now. When Scotland are independent and back in the EU, England and Wales are going to look a little silly as the outliers, boxing themselves in at all corners. Under these circumstances I'm fairly sure they would give serious consideration to re-joining themselves. All it will take is the break up of the UK. We had our little Brexit experiment and it failed. If Whitehall truly cared about the UK remaining as a union, then making the failure that is Brexit somehow 'work' isn't the correct thing to do; it's time to start thinking of learning lessons from the experiment and putting things right.

@stalinisaracist4351 A rational adult knows when they have made a mistake and works to correct the mistake and move forward but if you refuse to admit you made the mistake you are screwed

@suburbanyobbo9412 no benefits for leaving the e.u
1
@suburbanyobbo9412 so no benefits then just lies inflation was a 41 year high in the uk most of last year, most of the workforce have been on strike for better wages. the uk will be worse off by over 100 billion year after year through lost trade of being out the worlds largest single market. the last thing the average person needs is for our corrupt gov passing laws so cruel they have to leave the ECHR, and break international law.
