@D C Alistair Phillips-Davies who is the CEO of SSE an energy company was grilled over his current salary of £4.5 million which is a 45% increase on his previous pay. Not only is this disgusting but he also fought a price cap on energy back in 2017 which would have saved consumers £100 on their bills. this guy for example is the likes to blame .....

@D C If the unions demanded a 45% pay rise there would be uproar, particularly from the tories and their gutter press. Yet CEOs get away with it. I wonder where the current crop of government ministers will be working when they leave Parliament.

After the government went back on their promise to put water quality safeguards in the Environment bill last year, we have faced a summer of such poor quality rivers, lakes and beaches that the public have sometimes been told to stay away. But it is not just the action of Conservative MPs last year, the likely next Prime Minister, Liz Truss, is directly implicated in this as she was the minister that took away the funding that allowed water quality to be monitored some years ago.

@D C The countries that had the smallest economic hit were ones that took the virus seriously in the beginning and acted decisively to deal with it (we were not among them). They also had the least time spent under lockdown; strange that, isn't it? Who knew that dealing with a problem when it is easier to do so, rather than letting it get out of control over and over again, is the best course of action?
