@stalinisaracist4351 Why are we surprised at all by this , I think Sunak is essentially a honest/sincere man but even he must know that some of the people foisted on him to "heal" the Tory party in this cabinet are as corrupt as hell.
Gove, Zahawi, Johnson, Truss, Rees Mogg all corrupt, ambitious, incompetent, some or all of these traits.
What surprises me is he must have known of his dealings with Johnson yet still tolerated him in his cabinet unless, surprise surprises he has the dirt on Sunak, who knows?
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Johnson say there was no need for a ethics advisor and not appoint one/sack him?.
Raab is not important and is a minor distraction but some one like Zahawi is a snake, perhaps Sunak has decided he needs to go and appointing an investigation is his way of getting rid of him (it wouldn't be the first time this has happened and it can be made quicker at the tip of a hat) and is a great way to rid yourself of competition for the No 1 spot, Keep your enemies close or watch them die on the back benches.
If he did angle for the job as chancellor interfering with tax systems is very risky as leaks are common in ministries , how ever he would have the heads up if unforeseen problems arose.
Either way this group of individuals are the worst" public servants" ever to have served us as a nation.
