Larry is correct only in that reparations were paid to bristol (maybe other) slave owners in england. His assertion that slave owners in the u.s deserve the same is as insane, as it is unconstitutional. The treasury proudly tweeted when u.k tax payers (including me personally, for over twenty years) finished paying this 'debt.' One of many reasons I personally was very happy to see Colston's statue blowing bubbles at the bottom of the canal. Maybe if the council had taken notice of the town's population it wouldn't have come to that. The statue however gets a new life in a museum, the people he caused misery and death to, remain dead.
