  1. Following a severe bout of pain due to sciatica, I was given a scan and the diagnosis was stenosis of the spine. The proposal was to cut away a piece of bone that was trapping the nerve. Since I live alone, I visualised a possible mishap and damage to the spinal cord and my future in a wheelchair and possible incontinence too. I put off the operation by saying that physiotherapy had sorted the problem. Given time, it's now cured itself!! Better safe than sorry!! 🤔
