Trainspotting, making bows and arrows, throwing arrows, playing commandos in the woods (before it was built on!) Generally making our own entertainment, without the need for video games!!

During the 50's and 60's, there wasn't the video games etc that the kids today seem to be involved in. During the recent school summer holidays, I hardly saw any kids playing out, even though it's traffic free where I live. This was not the case fifty five or more years ago and then there was more contact and more likelihood of violent incidents. There were always those kids you had to avoid, but generally we had a good time and made our own entertainment.
